The Baloch Liberation Movement (BLA) announced that it executed 214 Pakistani soldiers after the government ignored a 48-hour ultimatum. In a statement released late Friday, March 14, the group claimed Pakistan sacrificed its forces, treating them as “fuel for the war” rather than saving their lives.

The statement added: “Pakistan state preferred to use its personnel as fuel for war instead of saving their lives. The enemy [Pakistani establishment] had to pay the price for this stubbornness in the form of the execution of 214 personnel.” The BLA also claimed to have inflicted “heavy losses” on Pakistani commandos, asserting that “those Pakistan says it freed were actually released by us on the first day, per the rules of war.”

The group insisted that the hostage crisis in Darra-e-Bolan is ongoing, promising more details once operations conclude—contradicting the Pakistan Army’s earlier claim that the incident was resolved. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s military alleged the attackers were in contact with operatives inside Afghanistan, a charge the Taliban have denied.
Pakistan’s government has yet to respond to the BLA’s latest statement.
