While the Taliban claim to have secured Afghanistan, Tarz Press has exclusively learned that three children have been brutally killed in recent days across Badakhshan, Kunduz, and Takhar provinces, exposing gaping holes in their security promises.
In Badakhshan, sources told Tarz Press that kidnappers murdered a child named Usman, son of Jawid Ulfat from Argo district, after holding him for two months. Abducted from the same district, the kidnappers demanded ransom from his impoverished family. Images obtained by Tarz Press reveal a horrific scene: the assailants removed Usman’s heart, eyes, liver, and kidneys before dumping his body in a corner of Argo’s district center. Sources close to the family say the six-year-old was a victim of desperate poverty.
Meanwhile, in Takhar, sources reported that a girl was raped and beheaded by a man named Naqib in the Siyab area of Bangi district last week. According to accounts, the girl was first sexually assaulted and then decapitated with a knife. While some sources point to Naqib, a 29-year-old, as the sole perpetrator, photos and documents sent to Tarz Press suggest she endured gang rape. The motive remains unclear, and the Taliban have offered no explanation.
In Kunduz, a father slit his three-year-old child’s throat with a knife in Imam Sahib district. The incident occurred last night, Sunday, March 9, and the father has been detained by Taliban forces, confessing to the crime. His reasons are still unknown.
Despite the Taliban’s repeated boasts of ensuring safety, these chilling incidents underscore their failure to protect Afghanistan’s people—especially its children.
