Tarz Press – On Wednesday, September 4, the Afghan national futsal team played its third match in the 2024 Intercontinental Championship in Bangkok, Thailand. For the Lions of Khorasan, Omid Qanbari scored twice, while Farzad Mahmoodi, Mehran Gholami, and Hamidreza Hosseini each scored once. Meanwhile, in another thrilling match, Guatemala defeated Thailand 6-4, moving to the top of the tournament standings, which has made Afghanistan’s path to the championship more challenging. On Friday, the Afghan national futsal team will face Thailand in their final match. To win the championship, Afghanistan must defeat the host, Thailand, by a margin of two goals. These matches are part of Afghanistan’s preparation for the Futsal World Cup, which will be hosted by Uzbekistan in ten days.
