Early Tuesday morning, the city of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, witnessed a massive missile and airstrike by Russian forces. According to Russian media reports, Moscow targeted Ukraine with 200 missiles and drones, marking this as the most powerful attack on Ukrainian soil since the beginning of the war.
Tarz Press: Ukrainian media reported that the intensity of these attacks was so overwhelming that Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, was compelled to address the Ukrainian people around 4 a.m. In this statement, Zelenskyy implicitly admitted that Ukraine cannot stand against a powerful country like Russia without the support of the West and European nations. Zelenskyy added, "We could have protected ourselves better today if our European neighbors had cooperated with us more effectively. If this unity can be demonstrated in the region, it should also be shown in Europe. Human life should have the same value everywhere."
Zelenskyy also confirmed in this statement that this morning's Russian attacks caused significant damage to Ukraine's energy sector and infrastructure.
Additionally, Ukraine's air defense command announced that the entire country is at risk of being attacked with Russian ballistic weapons. Eyewitnesses told Agence France-Presse that they heard powerful explosions and attacks in the city of Kyiv.
