The Taliban's Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has declared Sunday a public holiday in celebration of Afghanistan's 105th Independence Day.
Tarz Press – In a statement released by the ministry, it was announced that tomorrow, Sunday, August 18th, will be a public holiday in observance of Afghanistan's independence from Britain. August 19th marks the 105th anniversary of Afghanistan's independence. In 1919, King Amanullah Khan declared Afghanistan's political independence. Historians note that this declaration was not only significant for the Afghan people but also served as a valuable and inspiring action for other Asian countries.

Previously, Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Taliban’s Foreign Minister, had mentioned that the Taliban would celebrate August 18th in the same manner as August 15th, the anniversary of their return to power.
