Sources report that firefighting teams have arrived at the scene, but their efforts have so far been unsuccessful. Local Taliban officials at the Herat Customs Office have not yet commented on the severity or cause of the fire. Eyewitnesses warn that if the fire is not brought under control soon, it could threaten the entire customs facility.
