SIGAR's latest report states that the U.S. has provided $20.71 billion in aid to Afghanistan and its refugees since 2021.

Tarz Press – The Office of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) reports that this aid includes $2.97 billion for humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan and $3.5 billion transferred to the Afghanistan Fund in Switzerland.
According to SIGAR's report, $8.7 billion of this amount has been allocated to support the evacuation and resettlement process of Afghan refugees. Additionally, $5.36 billion has been spent by the U.S. Department of Defense to address humanitarian conditions, $3 billion through the Department of Health and Human Services, and $284 million by the Department of Homeland Security.
Meanwhile, Taliban officials have previously stated that the aid is distributed transparently and with complete integrity to deserving and needy individuals. The weekly cash aid from the United States to Afghanistan had previously faced widespread criticism.
