The New York Times has reported that Iran is set to be equipped with a powerful Russian defense system, with Moscow beginning the delivery of advanced defensive equipment and systems to Tehran.
Tarz Press – The American newspaper New York Times wrote that this request was made by Tehran in light of the potential for war with Israel, and Moscow has agreed to supply the advanced defense systems to Tehran. According to the New York Times, citing Iranian security officials, the process of delivering these "air defense and more advanced defensive systems" to Tehran has now begun.
This development comes as Sergey Shoygu, Secretary of the Russian National Security Council, traveled to Tehran on Monday at the invitation of Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council. Shoygu met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and the country's top military officials to discuss recent regional developments. On the other hand, the United States has reported an imminent Iranian attack on Israel, stating that it is prepared for any scenario to manage this regional tension.
