Pakistan has endorsed the recent United Nations report indicating the presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan, stating that this report validates Islamabad's concerns.

According to Tarz Press, the United Nations Council in its recent report noted that terrorist groups still have safe havens in Afghanistan and that the Taliban's lenient approach has facilitated the infiltration and expansion of these groups' activities.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the spokesperson for Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a press conference on Thursday that Pakistan has always been concerned about this issue. She urged the Taliban to take serious and effective measures against terrorist groups. Baloch added, "These reports indicate that the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) could become a regional threat and also provide a supportive umbrella for other terrorist groups."
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch emphasized that the Taliban must ensure that Afghan soil is not used for terrorist activities within Pakistan, and she mentioned the need to reconsider the UN report in this regard.
Meanwhile, in response to the recent UN report, the Taliban stated that the report was published with "malicious intent" and contains incorrect information. Previously, the Taliban also dismissed Islamabad's claims in this regard as baseless and stated that the neighbor should focus on its own security and not shift its problems onto others.
