IRGC: Ismail Haniyeh Killed by an Airborne Projectile

Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of the Palestinian group Hamas, and one of his bodyguards have been killed at his residence in Tehran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) recently announced that Ismail Haniyeh "was staying at a special residence in northern Tehran when he was martyred by an airborne projectile."
Additionally, the Hamas organization confirmed the death of its political leader, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran and pointed to Israel, stating that "it will not go unanswered."
According to a statement released by Hamas, Haniyeh was killed in Tehran in a "targeted attack" by "Israel." Israeli officials have not yet responded to the accusation or commented on their involvement in this incident.
Ismail Haniyeh had traveled to Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of Masoud Pezeshkian. He had met and spoken with Masoud Pezeshkian, the new president of Iran, who assured him that Iran's support for Hamas "will continue with even greater strength and power." A day before this, Haniyeh also met with Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, in Tehran. During his meeting with Khamenei, he discussed the war in Gaza, stating that the conflict had reached a critical and historic stage.
