A senior member of the United States Congress says that the premature withdrawal of the USA from Afghanistan has paved the way for ISIS to conduct foreign operations, and ISIS has entered the USA through Mexico.

Michael McCaul, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, stated that following the US withdrawal and the fall of the Afghan government, "thousands of ISIS-K came out of those prisons at Bagram" and ended up in the region. McCaul said, "They come through Mexico, and they enter into the United States." He did not provide further details or clarification on his statement but criticized the Biden administration's policies, calling them an opportunity for terrorist groups like ISIS to attack the United States.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump, a candidate for the US election, has promised that if he wins the election, he will complete the border wall with Mexico. The Mexico border wall is precisely where, at times, refugees illegally enter the United States.
