Russia has declared that the joint agreement between the United States and South Korea regarding nuclear planning is certainly concerning.
Sergey Lavrov, Russia's Foreign Minister, stated in a press conference in Moscow on Saturday, July 27, that this agreement is not comprehensible for Moscow. Lavrov said, "Currently, it is not possible for us to analyze this issue, but the signing of this agreement certainly raises more concerns."
The nuclear planning agreement was signed recently to strengthen the nuclear system between the United States and South Korea. Lavrov mentioned that they are trying to include Japan in the joint nuclear planning project and warned that the US, Japan, and South Korea are actively working to escalate tensions and prepare for military actions. Additionally, Lavrov noted that members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) have shown interest in Moscow's proposal to create an integrated security system in Eurasia. Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in South Korea this morning to attend the ASEAN member countries' meeting.
