In a football-filled night, two finals were held in different parts of the world, with Spain defeating England to become the European champions and Argentina overcoming Colombia to clinch the Copa America title.
According to Tarz Press,  July 14, 2024, was a historic and unforgettable day for Spanish football. Spain's national team defeated England 2-1, securing their fourth European Championship title and becoming the most successful team in the tournament's history. Williams scored in the 47th minute, and Oyarzabal sealed the victory with a goal in the 86th minute. Despite Palmer's goal for England in the 73rd minute, it wasn't enough for a comeback. Spain didn't allow Harry Kane and his teammates to make another comeback in Euro 2024, winning all their previous six matches deservedly.
England's national team, which had high hopes for their first European Championship title, returned home empty-handed once again. This was their second consecutive failure in the Euro final, unable to claim the title once more. In another thrilling final, Argentina's national team faced Colombia in the Copa America 2024 final at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Argentina defeated Colombia 1-0, with Martinez scoring the decisive goal in the 112th minute during extra time. This win marked Argentina's second consecutive Copa America title and their 16th overall in the competition.
