Local sources in Nangarhar report that 35 people have died and 230 have been injured due to severe storms and heavy rain in the province.
According to Tarz Press, the Nangarhar Media Office posted on X that recent rains in the province have resulted in at least 35 fatalities and 230 injuries. Quraishi Badlon, head of Information and Culture for Nangarhar, told "Tarz Press" that the bodies and injured individuals have been transferred to Nangarhar Central Hospital and Bibi Fatima Zahra Hospital. He mentioned that these numbers are initial and may increase.
Meanwhile, local sources reported that the roof of a house collapsed due to heavy rain in the Sorkh Rod district of Nangarhar, burying 11 people under the rubble. The Taliban announced that their rescue teams have arrived at the scene and are working to save those trapped.
The Taliban's National Disaster Management Authority reported that recent flooding in Bamyan, Maidan Wardak, Panjshir, Kunar, Paktia, and Kapisa has destroyed one house, injured three people, and damaged crops on dozens of acres of farmland.
