Manzoor Pashteen, the leader of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), has accused Pakistan's intelligence agency of being behind the deadly attack on PTM senior member Geelaman Wazir. He claims this is why no arrests have been made in connection with the attack so far.
According to a report by Tarz Press, Mr. Pashteen made these statements during an interview with the BBC in Peshawar, Pakistan. He emphasized that he would take action based on substantial evidence. "We make it clear that such a significant act of lawlessness cannot happen without the support of a powerful entity," Pashteen said. "The fact that no one has been arrested so far, and all incidents have occurred in Islamabad, indicates that the state's hand is behind these incidents."
Mr. Pashteen added that attacks on PTM leadership members have all occurred in Islamabad, raising questions about why the Pakistani government cannot apprehend the attackers. He stated: "Similar attacks happened to Arman Loni, who sustained a head injury in Islamabad. Usman Lala's head was hit in the same place, and Arif was also attacked there. How can these systematic attacks occur, and the state remains unaware?"
Manzoor Pashteen mentioned that their current focus is on Geelaman Wazir's health and that PTM will take action with all the evidence afterward. He described Geelaman Wazir's condition as critical and mentioned that they are making efforts to transfer him abroad for better treatment.
