Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesperson for the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry, dismissed Pakistan’s military accusations that the Taliban collaborated with the attackers of the Jaffar Express train in Balochistan. Writing on X, Balkhi called the claims “baseless” and devoid of truth.
He stressed that Afghanistan has no connection to the attack and has not supported it in any way. Balkhi urged Pakistan to focus on its own security issues and internal challenges rather than making “irresponsible” statements.
Earlier, Pakistan’s military spokesperson suggested the attackers likely coordinated with associates in Afghanistan, hinting at possible Taliban involvement. The Taliban Foreign Ministry shot back, rejecting the allegations and arguing that Pakistan shouldn’t scapegoat Afghanistan for its own security failures.
