A joint poll conducted by Harvard University and the Harris Poll Institute shows that the majority of respondents support preemptive attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities as well as military actions by Israel against Hamas.

According to the results of this poll, carried out in early March, 76 percent of respondents believe that Iran’s nuclear facilities should be destroyed. Additionally, the poll indicates that a significant portion of participants insist on the permanent expulsion of Hamas from Gaza and support military operations by Israel against the group. These findings come at a time when regional tensions are rising and international debates about the future of conflicts in the Middle East—particularly regarding Iran—are ongoing.

U.S. and Israeli officials, however, view Iran’s nuclear program as a serious threat to regional security. In the most recent instance, the Israeli Foreign Minister stated that military action against Iran is necessary.
