A voice message attributed to the Taliban’s Minister of Justice, Abdul Hakim Sharei, has been circulated on social media in which he states that he is resigning from his post due to widespread corruption and administrative interference.

The exact date of the recording is not yet clear, but in his message  claims that he has protested against corruption several times, yet his voice was not heard. He refers to the Taliban leaders and members as “corrupt individuals” and “hypocrites,” alleging that interference in administration, illegal decisions, and financial corruption have become widespread in the institutions.

On the other hand, two reliable sources told Tarz Press that Abdul Hakim Sharei has not been going to his office in recent days, and there are signs that he has already stepped down from his position.

At the same time, in an official statement, the Taliban Ministry of Justice has denied the news of Sharei’s resignation, dismissing these reports as inaccurate.
