The Indian government has condemned Pakistan’s recent airstrike on Afghan territory. In a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs two weeks after the attack, India criticized Pakistan for deflecting attention from its internal weaknesses by blaming neighboring countries.
The statement also highlighted the tragic loss of civilian lives, including women and children, emphasizing India’s strong opposition to the killing of innocent civilians. The airstrike, carried out in Barmal district of Paktika province, reportedly resulted in the deaths of 46 individuals, according to the Taliban, who stated that the casualties included women and children.
Islamabad, however, claimed that the strike targeted key members of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). This incident has further strained regional relations, drawing widespread condemnation from multiple actors.
