Local sources have reported that eleven followers of Sufism were shot dead by unidentified armed assailants last night in Nahrin district, Baghlan province.
According to informed sources, the victims were killed with silencers, and bullet marks were found on their chests and foreheads. It is said that the victims were Sufi adherents who were engaged in dhikr (a form of devotional remembrance) at the shrine of Sayed Padshah in the Old City of Nahrin when the attack occurred.
No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and the Taliban have yet to comment on the incident
