London - Tarz Press: Following reports of the U.S. granting Ukraine permission to use long-range missiles against Russia, officials in London have stated they have no comment on issuing similar authorization for British weaponry.
Grant Shapps, the UK Defense Secretary, addressed reporters in a press briefing on Monday, November 18, stating, “We have no comment on granting Ukraine the green light to use our missiles for strikes against Russia.”
This statement follows U.S. President Joe Biden’s recent authorization allowing Ukraine to deploy American long-range missiles against Russian targets. American media outlets, including Reuters and Associated Press, have reported this decision based on credible sources within the Biden administration. However, the White House has yet to officially confirm or comment on the matter.
Meanwhile, these reports have triggered severe reactions from Russian officials. The Kremlin declared that granting such authorization to Ukraine unequivocally escalates the war and could be seen as a precursor to a third world war.
Observers suggest that President Biden’s decision is a response to North Korea’s involvement in the Ukraine conflict. French officials have also pointed to North Korea’s participation in the war and hinted that France may authorize the use of its strategic weapons by Ukraine to target Russian positions.
