Kabul - Tarz Press: The Taliban’s Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice has announced the arrest of four individuals on charges of “witchcraft” in Ghazni province.
According to a statement from the ministry, the arrests wَere carried out by the ministry’s enforcers. Under a new law from this ministry, these enforcers are authorized to detain individuals.
This law, which imposes strict limitations on Afghan women, has sparked widespread reactions. Over 20 countries have decided to file complaints against the Taliban at the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
Under this law, women are required to wear a burqa or full hijab that covers their entire body and face. The law states that any violation may result in penalties such as fines or imprisonment.
