In a statement, Israel acknowledged that it has commenced precise airstrikes on military targets in Iran. The Israeli statement said, Israel is currently conducting precise airstrikes on military targets in Iran. It emphasized that these operations were in response to the continuous attacks by the Iranian regime against Israel, and Israel, like any other independent nation in the world, has the right and duty to respond.
Meanwhile, a US official told Reuters that Israel informed the US only moments before the strikes, and thus, the US has no participation in the operation. Iran’s Fars News Agency, which is closely aligned with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has also confirmed that several of Iran’s military bases were targeted by airstrikes. Details regarding the extent of the airstrikes and casualties are not yet available.
