Tarz Press: Olaf Scholz, the German Chancellor, who recently traveled to New Delhi, has expressed his support for India’s efforts to establish lasting peace in Ukraine.
Scholz made these remarks on Friday, October 25, on his X account, where he expressed hope that New Delhi’s efforts would lead to the realization of a just and lasting peace in Ukraine. He stated, “I strongly support India’s efforts to pursue a sustainable and just peace in Ukraine and emphasize the use of its trusted relationships with all parties to achieve this goal.”
The German Chancellor further emphasized that for Berlin and New Delhi, as strategic partners, it is important to engage directly on various issues, including geopolitical matters.
On the other hand, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also posted on his X account, saying that his discussions with the German Chancellor would accelerate the friendship between India and Germany. He wrote: Our countries have a strong history of developmental cooperation, and we are eager to strengthen these collaborations in the future.
These discussions on peace in Ukraine come at a time when Russia has stated that peace talks can only succeed if the Kremlin’s demands are accepted.
