Tarz Press: While Taliban officials have refrained from directly commenting on the deaths of leaders from groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, Khalid Zadran, the spokesperson for the Taliban police in Kabul, stated that the ideals of Hamas and the Taliban are identical.
Zadran made this statement today, Friday, on his X (formerly Twitter) account, posting a note in Pashto, Arabic, and English. However, he did not elaborate further on the shared ideals between the Taliban and the Palestinian group Hamas.
He posted a picture of Yahya Sinwar, the recently deceased Hamas leader, alongside items found in the pockets of Hamas fighters, writing, “Their pockets and our martyrs’ pockets, just like our ideals, are the same.” According to Zadran, mint candies are used to alleviate hunger and bad breath, as hunger typically causes foul breath. He also added, “A prayer bead and a bullet show that this man fought solely for the pleasure of God.”
The Taliban police spokesperson in Kabul concluded by referring to Yahya Sinwar as a hero and writing, “Hero, congratulations on your martyrdom!”
This comes as the Taliban leadership continues to avoid directly commenting on the ongoing developments in the region, and they have not yet issued any statements regarding the death of Yahya Sinwar.
