Tarz Press: For the first time, the Taliban have produced a new passenger bus in Afghanistan. Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, announced on his X (formerly Twitter) account that this bus will soon be used for urban services within the country.
On Wednesday, October 17, Mujahid stated, “This is a domestic product of Afghanistan, and its inauguration ceremony will be held soon.” He expressed hope that this initiative would be a step toward Afghanistan’s economic progress, though he provided no further details about the bus’s construction.
This marks the first major announcement of a passenger bus manufactured under the Taliban’s rule and branded as a product of Afghanistan. The country has long struggled with transportation issues, and citizens have been calling for improved government services to organize public transportation.
