Tarz Press: The Taliban have announced that no one in Afghanistan is permitted to use vehicles without license plates and proper legal documentation.
Abdul Mateen Qani, the spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior, stated that using vehicles without authorization, those with tinted windows, and vehicles equipped with unusual horns is prohibited. He emphasized that checkpoints in cities and roads will carefully inspect these violations, and offenders will be arrested.
Qani added, “Security checkpoints have been instructed to stop vehicles with unusual horns, clear tinted windows, and take legal action against violators.” According to the Ministry of Interior, in the past year, the police have cleared 3,500 vehicles with tinted windows.
In a related update, the Taliban have begun a process to remove beggars from the streets of Afghanistan. Qani announced on his X (formerly Twitter) account that dozens of beggars have been collected from the streets of Badakhshan province and relocated to designated facilities.
