Tarz Press: Moscow has announced that the member states of the BRICS group are focused on creating a multilateral global economic system and have no plans to turn the group into a military alliance against NATO.

This clarification comes after an article by The Times of Britain cited sources suggesting that BRICS might evolve into a military force opposing Western countries. In response, Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on October 9 that BRICS has never been, and will not become, a military group.

Moscow further explained that recent coordination and effective relations among BRICS members have caused concern for the British government. According to the statement from Russia’s Foreign Ministry, one of BRICS’ primary goals is to establish a fair and multilateral global economic system.
