Tarz Press: Islamabad has responded to the statements made by the Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasizing that the Afghan Taliban should focus on their own internal issues rather than offering advice to a diplomatic country.
This reaction follows a statement from the Taliban’s spokesperson regarding the ban on the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) and the Taliban’s recommendation for Islamabad to negotiate with its opposition. Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the Afghan Taliban should first focus on their own internal problems, including the formation of an inclusive government, addressing the needs and demands of the Afghan people, and ensuring women’s and girls’ right to education.
The statement from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs used relatively strong language, accusing the Taliban of misinterpreting Islam and violating the rights of Afghan women and girls. The statement also urged the Taliban to stop interfering in Pakistan’s affairs and instead fulfill their commitments to the international community, particularly in preventing Afghanistan from once again becoming a hub for terrorism.
