Tarz Press: Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that two Chinese engineers were killed and another injured near Karachi Airport. The Ministry condemned the attack, labeling it as a “terrorist act.”
According to Pakistani media, a suicide bomber detonated himself near Karachi Airport on Sunday evening, October 6. Pakistani media reported that the explosion resulted in two deaths and ten injuries. The Baloch Liberation Army, a separatist group, has claimed responsibility for the attack.
In a statement, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that those responsible for the attack on Chinese citizens would be arrested and punished. The statement described the attack as an assault on the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China and assured the Chinese government that the perpetrators of this “brutal” act would face justice.
This is not the first time that Chinese citizens have been targeted by militants in Pakistan. The Chinese government has repeatedly expressed serious concerns about the safety of its citizens in the country, and it remains unclear how China will respond to this latest incident.
