Citing its sources, Reuters reported that Israel wants to attack Iran immediately, without delay. According to the report, Israeli officials are currently working to identify specific targets and the exact timing of the attack, which could happen soon.
While the Reuters report did not go into details about the nature of the attack, Israeli media today reported that Israel’s response to Iran’s missile attack could go beyond an airstrike. Yedioth Ahronoth stated that Israel might target Iran’s nuclear facilities and air defense systems.
Meanwhile, G7 leaders announced today that imposing sanctions on Iran would be the best response to its missile attacks, aiming to maintain stability in the Middle East. U.S. President Joe Biden also expressed his opposition to attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities. When asked if Israel would heed Biden’s stance, U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller stated that Israel, as a “sovereign country,” can make its own decisions. However, the U.S. is working to ensure that Israel’s response takes into account the interests of both nations in the Middle East.
