The European Union to Provide $146 Million in Aid to Afghanistan

The EU stated today, Wednesday, September 25, that this amount has been allocated for Afghanistan for the year 2025. The funds will be used to support essential needs and strengthen basic services for the people of Afghanistan. Jutta Urpilainen, the European Union Commissioner, made this announcement on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, reiterating the EU's commitment to supporting Afghan women and girls. According to Commissioner Urpilainen, special attention has been given to the situation of women, girls, and children in Afghanistan, and part of the funds will be used to support displaced people, refugees, and returnees.
