The office of the Taliban Prime Minister has issued a statement warning against discussions of divisive and "controversial" issues in the media.
Tarz Press: The statement, released on Friday, September 20, emphasizes that "just as the Taliban consider the physical security of the people their responsibility, they also see it as their duty to prevent the spread of hate." The declaration suggests that raising divisive issues could lead people astray, creating conflicts and concerns within society.
According to the statement, no one, including religious scholars and commentators, is allowed to challenge the Taliban's decisions from the perspective of tradition and the Quran. While the Taliban did not specify the consequences for violators in this statement, the Ministry of Justice had previously warned that criticism of the Taliban's morality law would result in interrogation and imprisonment.
