Amrullah Saleh, the former Vice President of Afghanistan and one of the exiled opponents of the Taliban, has acknowledged the significant role of Marshal Dostum in Afghanistan's developments, stating that "denying this role is a waste of time and misguided thinking."
Tarz Press- These comments, which Saleh published on his X page today, Tuesday, September 17, are likely a response to Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum's remarks from the previous day. During an online conference attended by anti-Taliban figures, Marshal Dostum harshly criticized the seizure of power and wealth by a few Tajiks from Panjshir, stating that these individuals have taken over all properties in Kabul, leaving "no one in the Panjshir Valley." Dostum also strongly criticized Saleh's earlier remarks, in which he called on the Hazara people to take up arms against the Taliban. Indirectly referring to Saleh's stance, Dostum called it illogical and suggested that if logical advice cannot be offered, then it is unnecessary to give such advice at all.
About 24 hours after Dostum's statements, Saleh, who remains one of the exiled opponents of the Taliban, took to his X page and praised Marshal Dostum, describing him as "a distinguished military figure, a prominent politician, a great leader of his people, and a seasoned personality shaped in the crucible of the modern history of the country."
In his post, Saleh acknowledged Dostum's constructive role in Afghanistan's developments, stating that "denying Dostum's role in Afghanistan's developments is a waste of time and misguided thinking." Saleh further emphasized that criticizing the current situation and the ups and downs of history is the legitimate right of every individual
