Hina Rabbani, former Foreign Minister of Pakistan, has called the proposal for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa officials to hold talks with the Taliban foolish and said it would constitute a violation of Pakistan's constitution.
Tarz Press - The former Pakistani official made these remarks in an interview with Geo News, a Pakistani media outlet, strongly criticizing Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for proposing direct talks with the Taliban.

Hina Rabbani stated that the idea that every province would have its own foreign policy is truly foolish. She told Geo News Pakistan, let the government be the government. If each province pursues its own foreign policy, it would constitute a violation of Pakistan's constitution.

This comes after Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, announced about a week ago that he would send a delegation to Kabul for direct talks with the Afghan Taliban. He stated that the goal of these talks was to seek the Taliban's assistance in establishing peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan, and added that even if Islamabad opposed, he would still go to Kabul for talks with the Taliban.
