Following Russian President Vladimir Putin's warning that any authorization for Ukraine to use long-range missiles—which he described as a direct declaration of war by NATO against Russia—Washington now says that the United States has no plans to change the restrictions imposed on Ukraine regarding the use of long-range missiles.

Tarz Press—John Kirby, spokesperson for the U.S. National Security Council, made these remarks on the evening of Friday, September 13, during a press briefing. He added in the conference: "I would not expect any major announcement in that regard."

Meanwhile, Russian state media reported on Friday that President Vladimir Putin, in response to these statements, said that if the West permits Ukraine to use long-range missiles against Russian territory, it would mean NATO's direct entry into the war against Russia.
