The Taliban have announced the extraordinary recruitment of 340 young men from various districts of Panjshir and Baghlan provinces into their army ranks.

Tarz Press - The Ministry of Defense of the Taliban issued a statement saying that these young men have been sent for professional military training at the "Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood Joint Military Training Command." The Taliban have not specified which provinces in Afghanistan or in what roles these young recruits will be deployed after their professional training. However, the statement quoted Fasihuddin Fitrat, the Taliban's Chief of Staff, addressing these recruits, saying, "Cut off the hands of those who create divisions in the name of language, ethnicity, and region."
The statement further quotes the Chief of Staff saying, "Those who stand against oppressors in a society are considered heroes of that society."
It is worth noting that the Taliban have previously released reports about recruiting forces into their ranks, but this is the first time they have specifically recruited from the provinces of Panjshir and Baghlan.
