The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has issued a statement calling on the Taliban to allow Radio Kawoon Ghag to resume its broadcasts in Laghman province.

Taliban security officials report that a 40-year-old woman has committed suicide in the center of Badakhshan province. Ehsanullah Kamgar, spokesperson for the Taliban's provincial police headquarters in Badakhshan, stated on Tuesday, July 9, that the woman was a resident of the Deh Payan Chata area in Faizabad city.
