A week after the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, Saudi Arabia has declared that this act is a clear violation of Iran's national sovereignty and expressed its opposition to the action.

Tarz Press – The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement late on Wednesday, August 7, stating that Haniyeh's assassination in Tehran is a clear violation of Iran's sovereignty and that the Saudi government "opposes any aggressive actions against the internal sovereignty of countries."
This announcement comes just two days after Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in a conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, warned about the consequences of escalating tensions in the region. The Élysée Palace stated that the Saudi Crown Prince, in a phone call, referred to recent developments in the region and warned about the consequences of provocative actions and statements, emphasizing that chaos in the region is in no one's interest.
