Afghanistan Secures Spot in the Top 16 of the Futsal World Cup

Tarz Press - With Tajikistan's national futsal team losing to Panama, Afghanistan has advanced to the Round of 16 in the Futsal World Cup as one of the best third-placed teams.  
This Sunday, September 22, Tajikistan and Panama faced off, and Panama won with a score of 8-3. Following this defeat for Tajikistan, Afghanistan secured its place in the Round of 16 and will face Paraguay in the next stage. Afghanistan’s national futsal team advanced to the knockout stage of the 2024 Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan, finishing third among the best third-placed teams from the six groups, with 3 points from 3 matches and a goal difference of -2.  
In the group stage, Afghanistan defeated Angola but lost to Argentina and Ukraine. In the Round of 16, the Lions of Khorasan will face Paraguay, the top team from Group A, on Wednesday, September 25, at 7:30 PM Kabul time.
