The White House has announced that despite ongoing efforts to reduce tensions in the Middle East, the United States remains deeply concerned about the potential for these conflicts to escalate into a broader regional war.

Jake Sullivan, the National Security Advisor to the White House, made these remarks on Sunday evening, August 25, during a press conference. He emphasized that the U.S. is closely monitoring the situation in the region. Regarding the recent missile attacks by Hezbollah, Sullivan noted that the Biden administration is in constant communication with Israel.

This comes after Hezbollah reported widespread rocket attacks against Israel on Sunday. Israeli media outlets indicated that Hezbollah had intended to target the headquarters of Mossad in Tel Aviv. In response, Israel warned that it would bomb any areas in Lebanon that pose a threat to its security.
