Iranian Soldier Killed in Clash with "Armed Bandits" in Zahedan

Iranian media have reported the death of an Iranian soldier during a clash with "armed bandits" at the Qaleh Bid checkpoint in Zahedan.

Tarz Press – According to Iran's IRNA news agency, the soldier who was killed has been identified as Ali Raoufian, a resident of Neyshabur, Iran. Iranian media have also reported that the "armed bandits" have fled, and police are pursuing them. Details of the clash remain unclear, and it is not yet known which armed groups the "bandits" belong to. In the past, groups such as Jaish al-Adl or ISIS have claimed responsibility for similar attacks in Iran.
