Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Taliban's Interior Minister, expressed concern over the dismissal of former employees in government offices, stating that pointing out shortcomings and removing previous employees indicates the Taliban's weakness.
According to Tarz Press, Haqqani made these remarks on Wednesday, July 24, at the second day of the "National Labor Conference" in Kabul, emphasizing, "We should not dismiss others and replace them with ourselves." He stressed the importance of hiring deserving and experienced individuals rather than replacing them with unqualified personnel. Previously, reports indicated widespread dismissals of former government employees by the Taliban after their takeover on August 15, 2021. This marks the first time a senior Taliban official has openly criticized this practice.
