Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, issued a stern warning to Vladimir Putin, calling on him to end the “ridiculous war” in Ukraine and warning of severe consequences if the conflict continues.

In a message posted on his social network, Truth Social, Trump said: “I’m going to do Russia, whose Economy is failing, and President Putin, a very big FAVOR. Settle now, and STOP this ridiculous War! IT’S ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE.” He added that if a deal is not reached soon, he would have “no other choice but to put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries.”

Trump emphasized the urgency of resolving the conflict, stating: “Let’s get this war, which never would have started if I were President, over with! We can do it the easy way, or the hard way – and the easy way is always better.” He also expressed that “NO MORE LIVES SHOULD BE LOST!!!”

Trump, who has repeatedly claimed he could end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours, reiterated his readiness to mediate negotiations with Putin. He added that he believes his approach could bring the war to an end, but Russia must now decide: “It’s time to ‘MAKE A DEAL.’”

In addition, Trump addressed Russia’s actions, stressing that he would not condone the annexation of Ukrainian territory and reaffirmed Ukraine’s right to defend its sovereignty. He also warned that prolonging the war would result in significant harm to Russia, stating that the conflict “is pushing the world toward greater instability.”
