On a memorable evening, Parastoo Ahmadi, a singer whose voice resonates deeply with the people of Iran, delivered a live and unique performance in one of Iran’s historic caravanserais. Known as the “Caravanserai Concert,” the event was streamed live on YouTube, sparking widespread reactions across social media platforms.
Appearing without the mandatory hijab, Parastoo Ahmadi conveyed a heartfelt message of love and hope to her audience. On her personal page, she wrote:
“I am Parastoo, a girl who wants to sing for the people she loves. It is a right I could not forgo—singing for a land I love with all my heart.”
This message, coupled with her performance—a fusion of history, art, and music—reflected the spirit of resistance and hope in a society where the voices of women have long faced challenges.
Parastoo Ahmadi had previously gained significant attention for her rendition of the song “Az Khoon-e Javanane Vatan” (From the Blood of the Youth of Our Homeland) during the protests of 2022. That performance led to legal action being taken against her.
