Verified reports indicate that 35 people were killed and 47 others injured during clashes last night in Parachinar, a district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Pakistani security officials stated that the clashes erupted following a deadly attack on a caravan of Shia Muslims, describing the nature of the incident as “sectarian.”
On the other hand, several local sources told Tars Press that Pakistan’s security forces failed to ensure the safety of the people, and the situation in Parachinar has not yet returned to normal. These sources stated that the attack was allegedly organized by the militant group Zainabiyoun Brigade.
So far, the Zainabiyoun Brigade has not made any official statements regarding the incident.
The Zainabiyoun Brigade is a Shia militant group supported by Iran, operating in regions like Parachinar, Quetta, and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This group is considered part of Iran’s proxy strategy, and many regional and international governments have officially designated it as a terrorist organization.
