Washington - Tarz Press: Following a direct warning from the Pentagon to Iran to halt military activities, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced the deployment of several B-52 bombers to the Middle East.
Today, on Sunday, CENTCOM posted on X that these bombers have arrived in its controlled area from Minot Air Force Base. While the exact number of strategic bombers wasn’t specified, CENTCOM noted that several B-52s are now stationed in the Middle East.
This move comes a day after the Pentagon revealed plans to increase its military presence in the region. Pentagon Secretary Lloyd Austin indicated that the deployment of B-52s to the Middle East should be regarded as a serious warning to Iran. Austin added that should Iran threaten U.S. interests or allies in the region, the U.S. response would be clear and severe.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, responded by warning both the U.S. and Israel of a strong retaliatory action. Speaking at a recent event, Khamenei emphasized that Israel and the U.S. would indeed face a significant response.
