The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has announced that they kidnapped a Pakistani police officer in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today.
Tarz Press - On Friday, September 6, the TTP released an image claiming that their fighters had abducted a police officer in the Bannu area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The TTP's Hafiz Gul Bahadur faction identified the officer as "Sakhi Zaman" and stated that he was the local police official in the Baka Khel area.

So far, there has been no response from Pakistani authorities regarding the kidnapping. This comes amid an increase in militant attacks against the Pakistani government in recent times. Earlier today, the TTP also claimed responsibility for a mass suicide attack on a military base in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Associated Press reported on Thursday, citing Pakistani military spokesman Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, that Pakistan conducts 130 military operations against militants daily. According to the AP report, there were 4,210 operations against insurgents in various regions of Pakistan last month alone.
