Hamas announced that on Sunday evening, it launched a missile attack targeting Tel Aviv, though Israeli officials have stated that the missile landed in an "open area" south of the city.

According to a statement released by Hamas' military wing on Sunday evening, August 25, the attack involved the use of an "M-90" missile in retaliation for what Hamas described as the "massacre of civilians by Israel."

Israeli officials also issued a statement regarding the incident, confirming that the missile landed in an open area in Rishon LeZion, south of Tel Aviv. The statement read: "A projectile launched from the southern Gaza Strip was identified and subsequently landed in an open area in Rishon LeZion."

This missile launch occurred amidst reports that Hamas has rejected new conditions proposed by Israel during ceasefire negotiations. One of the key conditions proposed by Israel was its continued presence in Gaza following the signing of the agreement. These ceasefire negotiations in Gaza concluded on Sunday evening in Cairo, with the participation of American and Israeli delegations.
