Meanwhile, Pakistani political leaders have condemned the incident and emphasized the need to suppress the attackers. Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Minister of Punjab, described the event as tragic and mentioned on her X account that a high-level military delegation, led by the Minister of Interior, has been dispatched to the area to take decisive action against the attackers. Asif Ali Zardari, the President of Pakistan, also condemned the incident and expressed condolences to the families of the slain soldiers. It remains unclear which armed group carried out the attack.
